In modern society we don't let parents or goverment dictate our sex and lovelife - so why should our spouce? If it's voluntary, freely chosen and explicitly agreed upon it's in our right to make such weird demands, in extreme D/s it's even understandable that the feeling of being completely owned can be hot - But else, whats the reason? People just don't work like that. We feel love for more then one person, we get horny on more then one person.
Usually it not much voluntary or choice about it. It's rests of medieval values demanding it should just be like that, that expect and demand that from us, that 'justfy' spouse to demand that of us, makes them implicitly expect that as a 'right'. A culture often mislabeled love-ideology that say love give us right to put demand on the one we love, that we have the right to control them, be outrageous at even a suspicious of them breaking the rules. Values responsible for argue, emotional blackmail, violence, partner battering, stigmatization of female sexuality and sexuality at large. It creates a motions of gilt and shame that reach friends and family and upholds oppressive norms. In it's extreme leading to honer killings. It is absolutely no good.
Love and play with people that respect You and Your sovereignity over Your own sex and lovelife!
